About Me

Sheri Six

My name is Sheri Six and I’m a certified EFT and Access Bars practitioner who currently lives in Madison, WI.  My goal is to be able to make a positive difference and reduce stress in people’s lives, even in their first session with me.  I help clients let go of emotions from their past or present that are negatively affecting their lives, see the world differently, and help take a lot of the weight off of their shoulders.  They can then see their lives from a new perspective and be able to reach their goals easier; whether that’s finding a healthy relationship, weight loss, starting a new career or being a better parent.

I chose to become an Access Bars practitioner because of how much of an impact my first two sessions had on my life.  When I had my first session, I was going through a divorce and was working at a stressful job.  I was about to become a single mom and I felt very lost and anxious.  After the session was over, I felt an immediate sense of clarity about what direction I needed to go in my life. I felt such a sense of calm and then things started just falling into place for me.

When I had the second session, it was about two years later.  Something had happened that was very devastating to my sense of self and confidence.  I was depressed and in a lot of emotional pain.  After a couple of weeks I decided to reach out for help.  On the day I went in for the Bars session, I felt extremely down and had even developed a sore throat.  After the session, I stood up and felt this overwhelming sense of lightness and joy.  My friend jokingly referred to it as being “Bars drunk”.  The sore throat was gone and I felt healthy and alive. I remember that “zen” feeling stayed with me for the next couple of weeks.  Most of the emotional charge was gone from that incident that had devastated me, and I was able to move on with my life.

Having my “Bars run” regularly now helps me feel less overwhelmed, calms down the chatter in my head, and gives me more peace, joy and clarity.  I wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to make it part of my life, and I’m excited each time I get to share the Bars with someone new.

The reason I became an EFT practitioner is because of how quickly and how well it works to change your mind and body’s reactions to negative emotions.  It looks kind of silly and doesn’t seem like it would work, but it certainly does for most everyone.  There are also several studies showing how well EFT works for anxiety, reducing cortisol, depression, food cravings, and PTSD (I have links to more information about the science of tapping under the “Videos” tab).

Just spending a few minutes tapping can really turn your day around.  I use it almost every day, especially when I’m getting frustrated as a parent.  Tapping is something you can do on your own for daily stressors, but working with a practitioner like me helps you delve deeper to make real change in your life.  I use specific questions and techniques to get to the root of issues, help you set goals, and create a safe space where you can explore your emotions without fear of judgement and with the emotional support you need.
